Kamloops Airport Traffic Regulations

Short-term and long-term airport parking is conveniently located near the arrival and departures areas. Prepaid parking is in effect.  Parking vouchers are available from a kiosk in the parking lot which accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Vouchers can also be purchased at the restaurant in the Airport Terminal Building.

Short term metered parking is available directly outside from the Airport Terminal Building or in the main parking lot adjacent to the Airport Terminal Building.

Parking Regulations

No parking is allowed on airport property except in those areas marked for that purpose. Vehicle operators shall park their vehicle in these areas designated for vehicle parking only.

1. If parked at a meter, the meter must have time purchased and showing in the display.

2. If parked at other than a metered stall, a parking voucher shall be purchased from the dispenser or at the airport restaurant and displayed, information side up, on the dash of the vehicle. 

3. Oversize vehicles shall be parked in the north overflow lot which is marked to indicate the applicable size of vehicle.

Areas marked as reserved parking or marked for a particular type of customer parking may only be used by those authorized to do so.

Areas not marked to allow parking may only be used for parking where special arrangements have been made with Kamllops Airport Ltd.

Special rules exist for taxis, shuttles, limousines, buses and couriers - collectively known as ground transportation providers.

1. Ground transportation providers may drop off their passengers or freight at the air terminal building without permission of Kamloops Airport Ltd.
2. Ground transportation providers shall not pick up passengers or freight at the air terminal building without first obtaining a license from Kamloops Airport Ltd.
3. Prior approval of Kamloops Airport Ltd. is required where an unlicensed ground transportation provider has been specifically requested to pick up a certain party. Contact can be made during regular office hours at 376-3613.
4. Approval for unlicensed pickups will be granted no more than twice in a calendar month.
5. Commercial vehicles may be parked in the parking lot so that the operator can take advantage of airport services.

Kamloops Airport Ltd. uses a parking violation system to control unauthorized parking. The rates for parking violations are listed in the Airport Fee Guide  . Any vehicle issued with a parking violation is subject to towing from the airport at the discretion of Kamloops Airport Ltd. The towing service provided is displayed at the entrance to the parking lot.

Individual airport leaseholders are responsible for the removal of vehicles illegally parked on their property.
